Probably your first question, is how on earth does it work? Isn't HTML just HTML?

I've put together a simple example to show you:

• Here is a normal HTML page (the link will open in a new window). View the "normal HTML page" then do View Source in your web browser (it's on the right mouse click menu in most browsers). You can see all the code, copy and take whichever bits you want and so on.
• Next, here is the same page after being compressed/encrypted by HTML Protection Rocket (this link also will open in a new window). Now try doing View Source on that page. Sure somebody may be able to copy the entire page, but imagine trying to modify the code to (for example) remove both references to "Answers 2000 Limited" - I bet you can't! (And if a copyright thief can't change stuff like that, they ain't going to bother copying).

How It Works

HTML Protection Rocket includes three main different functions:

1. You can paste in a block of HTML code, and HTML Protection Rocket will generate a compressed/encrypted version of the code.
2. You can paste in a block of JavaScript code, and HTML Protection Rocket will generate a compressed/encrypted version of the code.
3. You can select entire Files, and Folders containing HTML or JS files, and compress/encrypt the entire files all in one go.

Compression and Encryption Choices

HTML Protection offers four different choices for compression and encryption:

1. Compress: Your HTML/JavaScript code is converted to compressed JavaScript. (Except in the case of very small files, this will reduce its size).
2. Compress/Encrypt: Similar to Compress, but in this case, the output is guaranteed to contain none of the original text.
3. Encrypt: Your HTML/JavaScript code is converted to encrypted JavaScript.
4. Ultra-Compress: This will reduce the code to the smallest size possible - either by converting to JavaScript, or by leaving in its original form (perhaps with some removal of unnecessary spaces etc.).

And There's More...

All of the compression/encryption choices listed above come with a number of additional options:

• You can customize the message shown in non-JavaScript-enabled browsers.
• You can ask the program to try to reduce the code length before compressing/encrypting. This option optimizes HTML tags, removes unnecessary spaces, removes HTML comments, etc.
• You can restrict the output to not use ASCII characters above 127. This option is useful if you have an old-fashioned text editor or web host which can't accept these characters.
• When processing entire files or folders, you can ask the program to automatically create backups of the originals.

Please Understand...

Security and protection in the real-world is less than 100% secure. For example, locks on your house might be able to keep out many potential thieves, but there may be some who would nevertheless be able to get in. But, even if locks don't offer 100% protection, few people would argue against using them at all.

Likewise, it is indeed possible that a clever person, who misdirects their talents, may be able to break or bypass the protection that this software offers. Nevertheless, we feel that if you have important content to protect, you will be able to benefit from this software.
